Looking like a nice new cluster of density from above. Taken Tuesday Dec 3:

Does anyone know what they were doing in the turn pike south of this development?
They have drilled what looked like a 20m radius and 50+ ft deep hole in the ground which is now filled in.
There are Enbridge signs out front - I was thinking a deep Well like they did at "The Well" project to cool buildings in the area?

Any insight appreciated.

From what I remember the work in that area is tied to an enbridge natural gas line. I think they are relocating/burying the one that runs over the Don river just west of there.

As for the park, I think that was scrapped and replaced with the park that is going to be facing queen at the north side of the development

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the hole is an extraction shaft for the TBM that'll take the gas line under the Don.

You are correct, it is/was the eastern side of the Don River Enbridge pipe-burying project. I think this is now just about done and that in the spring they will remove the pipe over the river (just north of the old and unused bridge.)

This project feels and looks really awkward.
I get what they were trying to do with the off-angles etc, but it really doesn't feel like it works imo.
