wish they would put a spire or some kind of symmetrical top off feature on this - it looks prematurely cut off

A question for anybody that knows more about this than me (most likely everybody here). Is the small crane on top of the building to help remove the larger crane or is it part of the mechanics of the building?

Based on my own learning experiences from being here, it's a derrick. It will not be permanent and is part of the process for adding the finishing touches to the building including the mech penthouse.

A more experienced member please correct me if I'm wrong.

It is a derrick crane used to dismantle the tower crane. Usually they get smaller and smaller until either they can be taken in pieces down the elevator or lowered by the window washing system. Hope that helps.
