@toaster29 would be saying that there are active plans to significantly increase the density along the route of a possible western extension of the Bloor Danforth line, yet it's the other end of the line where Tory and deBaeremaker are planning to spend billions to put a subway under suburban back splits.

I hoped that helped.

Well, the line doesn't serve the suburban back splits (or the immediate industrial area) as it only has one stop. That stop is at a regional transit hub. Kipling Station is not too far away either.

The point being that the Scarborough extension has to pass under 8 km of suburban backsplits, while Kipling is already not the perfect western end for the line and it will serve Mississauga commuters awkwardly once they move there, while the area west of Kipling is going to be redeveloped in a way that would make perfect sense for an extension.

Do I need to expand any further on the explanation?

Things like this is the reason congestion in Toronto cripples the city, and it is also why the TTC has gone from one of the best transit systems where everyone from all over the world envied it, to one of the worst in North America.

Neighborhoods in this city undergo vast intensification and once that's done, there is absolutely no transit put in place to handle the intensification.

it would be most beneficial on dundas west to see subway extension from kipling to sherway gardens, but then again there is no "connecting" hub to renforth gateway for mississauga. definitely poor planning in infrastructure projects!

A one or 2 stop extension of the Bloor Danforth line westbound would be probably the cheapest extension, and serve a large (and growing) dense neighbourhood. Best bang for buck. Where are all the residential tower proposals in walking distance to STC?

They'll have several phases here!

This will be quite a large development:
