unsurprising. The original zoning approval for this complex had a large retail building on the Sheppard frontage which always seemed odd to me. I always figured they would resubmit an additional rezoning application to add residential later.

Indeed. A four-storey building with about 200k of retail. TBH, I'd prefer that to this mid-rise. Or, hell, put the mid-rise on the retail building...
