Toronto Parc - Loft Residences on King West | ?m | 10s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Great looking building, but boy is it ever surrounded by a bunch of eyesores.

25 May 2011: This building has 2 facades--the biz end facing Stafford and the sexy park side. Overall, it's fantastic although the balconies facing the park don't angle as much as the renders led me to believe...

Why is the first row of balconies on the Stafford side clear glass, and all the other floors frosted glass? Also one level above all are frosted, but one is clear glass??? Seems odd, and not part of the design.....

aA is soooo unoriginal! All they do is draw a box with funny balconies and call it architecture.

(This actually looks fantastic, further proof that it's all about the details.)

I don't think architecture is all about one thing and one thing only - but this building has so much going for it: exceptional details, massing, quality materials, contextual relationship... absolutely love it. This project is stunning!

Sorry, I shall revise my statement to read "the details are a largely important part of the architecture".
