I love Pitaland! The only thing better is Burrito Boyz. Surprised they are opening another location here. There's one two blocks up at Jarvis and Gerrrad already. Not that I'm complaining. I was in heaven while in New York because they have gyro carts just about everywhere now. Lamb gyro>hot dogs 'n sausage!

What's going on with the nearby inverted ziggurat building at 222 Jarvis? The sheet of glass tacked onto the facade suggests a revitalization of the landmark Brutalist building, but it detracts from the architecture.

That sheet of glass has been there for years
And has detracted from the building since it was added. We complain about destroying the integrity of a building's architecture with thoughtless 'remodels' yet we continue to do it. I'd be amazed if anything significant from that era survives intact.

The damage to this one can thankfully be reversed.

They already did a revitalization there a few years ago.

I rarely visit that area. I'm happy to see it isn't sitting vacant. But the glass is unfortunate.

As for this building, I want to like the podium, but it looks like a mess. Why are some balcony undersides painted red, while others white? It seems to be random, but not in a pleasant way. The mix of brick and glass balcony railings also seems haphazard.

Nope, no glass, but the "awnings" are getting strips of lighting which look pretty awkward.
