Toronto Newton at Concord CityPlace | 67.97m | 18s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

The plan to build the schools, community centre, etc., got derailed by the cancellation of the TCHC building on the site. It's taken a long time to get it back on track.

No, just looks like infrastructure/servicing for the development block.

p.s. I'm really digging Quartz. Thanks for the pics!

No filling needed. They begin shoring with the site as is, just as they have done with every other project. See Quartz/Spectra below:

The need to back fill or not would depend on where the perimeter line for the shoring would be. If the shoring is to be done inside the raised areas, probably OK, but if the shoring line goes along, or crosses a raised up area, a level working area for the equipment would be required.

I believe the application for the shoring permit for Newton has been submitted - when I was in the City permits office several weeks ago, the person next to me was submitting the application for the shoring permit for the next Concord Adex development, in Bathurst and Bremner area - he did not specify the project name while we were talking, and I could not remember the name of the building to confirm.

Definitely think it is for Newton, as they have also finished paving the extension of Housey Street to accommodate construction vehicles entering/leaving the site, as well as staging.

Took these yesterday.
