Meanwhile, while it looks as though work has been halted at Monarch Construction’s Nautilus at Waterview on Marine Drive in Etobicoke, the 37-storey tinted-glass tower on top of a three-storey precast and glass podium with panoramic views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline, the project is simply delayed because of logistics.

“Just waiting on a crane permit and foundation permits,†says Danny DiFazio, Monarch’s high-rise project manager.

The crane permit is what they were waiting on, as per the sales office.

It takes over 6 months to issue a crane permit? The city should be penalized for this.

Yeah like I buy that. More likely, Monarch is in such crappy financial state they are having trouble getting financing for the project.
