Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

You know I when I first saw the images I thought "I'll be curious to read what NorthernLight thinks of this when it's done". Looks like you're years ahead of the rest of us! :p

Flattery may get you somewhere yet. LOL

Sincerely, TY for the kind words.

I know many here appreciate my insights into park/public realm design, so when I feel I have something to add, I try to.

It's projects like this that gives one a reason for optimism and helps get one through the next 20-30 projects that will disappoint. History will not look kindly on this latest period in Canadian architecture (1980-2020). There have been some gems, of course, but overall it's been a tidal wave of garbage washing over our cities from coast to coast. Hopefully, Mirvish Village will be viewed as one of those projects that marked a turning point.

This looks extremely promising.

Planting this park with corn, lettuce, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, citrus plants and cabbage would be amazing! Even better if they added basil, oregano, parsley, peppermint and rosemary.

I was thinking a tad more practically of Christmas Fern; Red Osier Dogwood.
