Already completed projects include:
- Image Arts Streetscape
- Student Learning Centre Streetscape
- Devonian Pond Improvements
- Gerrard Street Improvements
- Streetscape in front of Daphne Coxwell Health Sciences Complex
- Link to new complex through 111 Bond St.
They have just announced the largest and most important part of this project will start at the earliest March 25 and be finished by the end of the year.
This is the Campus Core Revitalization. This phase will include:
- Closure of Nelson Mandela Walk, Upper part of Victoria Street, and Gould Street from the Library Building to Image Arts Building until construction is finished
- Removal of diseased trees due to the Emerald Ash Borer
- Doubling the number of plants and trees in the area
- Improvements in lighting
- Raising and repaving the street on Gould and Victoria to match the new sidewalks creating a permanent pedestrian-only area (and scaring off the skateboarders!)
- Resurfacing and shift to the east of Nelson Mandela Walk to match new paving and enable green area on both sides of the walk
- Adding permanent Bollards to increase pedestrian safety
- Other infrastructure improvements
