I went to the Eataly in Boston a few days ago. Meh, It's similar to Cafe du Marche but Italian. It's pricey but the food was pretty good and there are plenty of choices. It has a fabulous wine store that I hope can be replicated in Toronto but I'm concerned that the lcbo will find a way to ruin it. Big theme restaurants tend to cater to tourists and they often have a limited life span. I guess we'll see how it goes here soon enough. I doubt it will sink Pusateri's but it might help to lower prices (a little).??

You are right to be concerned, but it's Ontario's strict liquor laws, rather than the LCBO, that would ruin it. Blame Queen's Park, rather than 55 Lake Shore Blvd E.

It's a shame.
