I compare this to the Yonge/Sheppard Centre renovation, and this is fugly. The YS Centre reno is great. They made the podium white and painted the ugly grey office towers black to make a nice contrast. This is just a mess. It would have been better if they didn't do the renovation at all or kept it to the interior only.
 
Just wait. I bet in a future phase the tower will get a makeover

I want to say......"Could they make it any worse?"...............then I think nah..........don't jinx it.......never bet against bad taste prevailing.
 
In other news, Manulife installed two beehives on the rooftop between the two towers, citing vague environmental aspirations. Not sure if this is for future Eataly use or what.
 
This is probably the worst retrofit projects i've ever seen. Sterile, cheap, monotonous POS. Does absolutely nothing to enhance to the streetscape. Major thumbs down.
