The addition of the steel certainly takes away from the dramatic "canti-lever" of the building. Hopefully they at least use some quality material...
I walked along Bloor this week and agree with Contra. The Bloor Street portion of this doesn’t feel “right” to me already. The previous entrance at least had a counter angle that matched the cantilever. This just feels appended and that’s all.
Totally. The whole point of the base is destroyed.
Yup. There is a way to update your retail spaces without completely violating the whole architectural expression of the complex.
