Roof will be at 259.337 metres, but there's a parapet above that. Assuming it's approximately the same height as balcony guard height in Toronto (1.07 metres or 42 inches), that would put it at 260.344 metres or 854 feet.

This would make it the tallest suburban building in North America, by quite a large margin, and the second tallest building outside of a downtown core (behind the Williams Tower in Houston).
The Williams Tower is located in what you could consider Houston's Yonge & Eg. Meanwhile, Mississauga is looking forward to the day when you'll think of this area as another downtown core, with Mayor Crombie saying today that there are 25 more towers coming to MCC. It may take 20 of those to go up before the area feels really downtowny though.

Unfortunately, this will never feel "downtowny". The pedestrian experience is terrible, the pedestrian retail experience is terrible (and with the centre being a large mall, that is not going to change) and the built form of most of the structures remain car-centric.

It will be a decade or two before the core starts to look like a downtown, but will not happen until Sq One is change from its current size to an Eaton Centre size, since it's the White Elephant in the core at this time.
It took until 2005 for a tower to break the 40's story height and another 12 years to break the 50's height. Then it took 1 year to break the 70's height, when there wasn't one plan in the first place.
I guess Mississauga has finally realize that when developers want to built something tall based on the city comments "The Sky is the limit" that they will allow to it and not be taken behind close door and told they can't do it like the past. The city has had a fear of tall buildings for decades and took the Absoulte Towers to break the mold with a World Wide Contest. So many plans that still can be used to built new towers GTA wide.
You need to tear down the 2 towers in the middle of the field off Burnhamthorpe Rd, to allow a street to be built that connects to Sq One where the traffic lights are and bring new towers to the street edge with no surface parking lots.
Look forward to see this tower built along with the other tall ones. It will be interesting to see what Amacon will do now for the site on Confederation and the sale office site for new heights than plan for.
With the building of the LRT, the current roads can be reduce by 2 lanes of traffic that the city wanted to do before the LRT came along.
Look forward to the 90's and 100's towers.

Hopefully they can build a couple 50-60s office towers before that happens

I hope the same. The parcels of land that border the SQ1 lands with the tiny office towers on them are just begging for some tall office towers. It would be nice to have some similar in design to the Bay-Adelaide Towers, EY Tower, or Eighth Avenue Place.
In the meantime, M3 is going to change how tall things get built here, forever. I think we will start to see Amacon redesign some of the upcoming PSV development to have some 200m+ towers so they can compete with M-City. We're already seeing the effects of builds getting taller in MCC, with the recent taller tower proposals on the other side of the 403 at the Pinnacle site. I also feel that at this rate, we'll probably get a supertall condo proposal of some sort within the next 5 years.
We've got some exciting times ahead.

Going to be a hard sell for tall office towers in the core with all the free surface parking land still empty outside of it. Getting anything over 25's is going to be real sell.

Yup hopefully 25s is a start and good, but for Mississauga to be a real city like Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, etc. they got to do better than build 8-12s office components, just saying
