Have a look at Dupont here:

from Streetview

Nary a Street Tree in sight, narrow sidewalks

If we cut 3M out of each curb lane, that would allow a 1M clearway widening for pedestrians, and a 2M wide boulevard to beautify the road, and buffer pedestrians as well.

By making the road essentially 1-lane per direction, permanently, we would have room to ensure adequate left-hand turn lanes are present removing some blockages and smoothing traffic flow.'

In addition, the boulevard space would allow for a full-sized transit shelters and outdoor seats at every transit stop.

Just a thought.

Yeah - I was wondering the same when I saw that tweet yesterday

The one thing he's on point on in this case, is that Turner Fleischer certainly doesnt care about the architectural quality of anything they come up with. It's been proven time and time again that they come up with consistent disappointments.

Home stretch now. Balcony glass going in, retail frontages coming into shape.

Also, while walking around, I noticed that the gorgeous little building next door had recently had its windows replaced -- wonder if anyone knows what's going on there? Peeked inside, too, and it looks like they've cleaned it up inside as well. Gorgeous space.

No permits have been pulled.

Seems odd.

I vaguely remember that being the interior layout (thinking back to my kid days when I'd ask my Dad to take me in there to show me the Rolls Royces!), so it's possible most of the work was more or less cosmetic/not requiring permits.
