This plaza is a FAIL! I have never seen a single person in this plaza and I walk by it almost daily. Then again, there is nowhere for anyone to sit if they wanted to enjoy that publically funded space. Walking by, one would think this is private property restricted from public use. Why is there no public seating?
Yeah it is a real wasted opportunity. Too bad.

"I'm sure someone has already said it, but it doesn't look like an L anymore!"

To the contrary - heLL.

"L is for Libeskind now."

Truly a kind of Monument for not only libes, butt the contractor and some/all the condo board.

So apparently according to a post from Reddit, the crane is finally coming down?
Read the posts above!

The crane was removed in 2016. A temporary derrick will be taken down this month

**NEWS FLASH** May 9, 2018: The BMU parts have been delivered and are now being hoisted up to the top. One of the workers told me that it will take about 2 weeks to assemble the parts, and the temporary derrick will come down a few weeks after that. So hopefully the crane at the top of L Tower will disappear by the end of June.

Great update! I believe they'll be there for 3-4 months to finish and repair the building exterior.
