They have started forming the floor for the old roof of the kiss & Ride building and torn up the driveway. We should see the roof move back into place late this month or June.

Sidewalk being rebuilt on Dundas.

All the area for the tunnels has been back fill except by the Kiss & Ride area. Lot more glazing in place. 4 months until opening date and a lot of work to be done.

Perhaps they should move the Kipling subway platform further west so both bus terminals can link with it at either end.

Can't do that as there has to be a start point to drop the west end when expansion happens to take the line west one stop and get it below CP line if a new yard is to be built on Obico lands.

"IF" and I Mean "IF" the expansion had happen over 10 years ago to take the line west to Cloverdale where the Regional Hub was to be, everything would have been in one location with everyone having more room to expand down the road as the needs arise. It would have been a win win for everyone. Kipling would only need about 4 bus routes that would operate out of the existing bays, with more room for layovers for them.

Depending how parking was plan for the Cloverdale site, it could been a parking structure to house 2,000 cars and a short trip to 427, with some parking taking place at Kipling.

Having a station at Cloverdale, GO would see their plan buses to serve Kipling now having a shorter and faster route to/from Toronto, as well to/from X. Miway riders would see a faster trip to/from Cloverdale as well saving time and fuel not going ti Islington, let alone Kipling. Same for TTC.

A new GO station would be built there as well and keeping Kipling as a backup for the Lakeshore line.

What go bus routes will we see servicing this hub? i think the 21 is an obvious one maybe

Come this weekend or early next week, the old roof for the kiss & ride will be on the new one. The columns will set on a 2' concrete pier. The area is graded with a top coat of light gravel and been compact . The trailers and various equipment on site for moving the roof.

They started to pour the new wide sidewalk on Dundas from Acorn to west of Aukland. Still have to do a small section on the west side.

3 months to get the new parking lot built, interior work for the Hub, Kiss & Ride elevator as well the Hub, electrical hookup done is starting to not look good For Sept plan date.

Photos to follow when I have the time, but here some

The old roof is now on the new structure and most likely happen Friday as crews where placing the last of the support material on 2 trucks. This clean the lot area that it has more room and when the dewater system is remove, time to start grading the new lot area.

The sidewalk on Dundas is pour and ready to be use once they built the west section that will be next week.

Hello,
I have been long anticipating this development of the Kipling Station Bus Hub. In 2007 the City of Mississauga put in 5 MILLION towards this, hopefully more funding is coming from Mayor Crombie. My concern is the accessibility of washroom facilities for the ridership. Is there a floor plan to view of the interior of the hub? Where are the bus layover platforms and is the hub built for future expansion of bus services? Is there separate areas for Transit Staff and facilities for the public? I hope to hear from you and greatly appreciate this effort to improve the Transit Hub. Thank you in advance.

There is no room nor plans to expand this hub. It's in the wrong location period.

There are accessibility of washroom as mandated by the OADA Standards and as per new and rebuild washrooms by all Transit Systems today. I haven't seen any floor plans and expect the washrooms are at the east end from what I see on site.

miWay will remain at Islington until the end of the year or early 2021, with Metrolinx handing over the Hub to Mississauga late this summer depending on construction. Agreement has been signed with TTC for the use of Islington up to Dec 31, 2020, but TTC needs Islington ASP to deal with the issues there that are affecting their timeline for 2025 and safety issues now. GO Transit will have 2 platforms on both side of the station at the east end, with miWay having the other 10 bus bays as well 6 layover spots.

Mississauga will pickup 75% of operation and maintenance cost in the neighborhood of $439,000, with Metrolinx pickup the other 25%. Metrolinx will pickup 100% of Capital Maintenance and Rehabilitation cost.

There is no access to the new parking lot from Subway Cr or Aukland and only by the new Acorn entrance. The Kiss and Ride area will be the standard GO Station setup, but sideways (E-W) in front of the old PPUDO building to the west of it, well the east side is for taxis. The PPUDO area will be pavers as part of the walkway to/from TTC Kipling Subway Station as well from/to Subway Cr and Acorn/Dundas.

Mind me asking but when is the project supposed to be complete?
Was to go into operation Sept 7, 2020 but been push down the road toward the end of the year or early 2021 due COVID-19 and other issues. It will open when it ready to open and can't happen soon enough for TTC. It only about 2-4 years late now depend on what time frame that was used for it was to happen.

Any date pertaining to the Mississauga Transitway opening date has been miss by months to a year and this station is part of that system. Shouldn't be surprise that it will miss Sept 7 date.
