Toronto Kings Club at King High Line | 57.6m | 18s | First Capital | Kasian

The retail portion along King Street looks good. I can see it developing into a nice shopping district, with all the new residential/commercial development in that area.

Wow! That's some impressive retail. I'm glad to see that they've mostly avoided the protruding columns and "arcades" that curse so much condo retail. I wonder if they'll be able to lease so much space in a location like that. I hope they'll look at restaurants and other more unusual uses rather than giving it over to a Shoppers.

The buildings aren't gorgeous but I kind of like the jumbled effect above and at street level. It makes it seem a little more organic than your standard uniform superblock.

I know this isn't the location of Kingsclub Condos, but construction hoarding has been installed along the City Services building (just west of the site). Will be interesting to see what happens there. Hopefully this means some kind of revitalization as that particular stretch is seriously lacking in street animation.

Gee, not sure if this is 20....but it looks like this small corner lot will bite the dust. http://goo.gl/maps/aeFyb

Yes!!! I've been waiting for that thing to disappear for years! I thought it might be problematic because it's right next to the railway, but I guess not. I sure wouldn't mind living in that area - so much vibrancy.

…and except that that is not the right spot. Member "codename" caught this: 20 Joe Shuster Way is at the corner of King Street, so this is movement on the Kingsclub project, not up at Joe Shuster and Dufferin.

16 February 2013: Rather curious to see how this turns out. I'm thinking it'll be sort of a contempory version of Village at High Park: Functional not offensive architecture filled with thousands of renters. Maybe time to get a DRL station here?

My camera phone lens sadly got covered in fog and I didn't have the patience to wait for it to dry.

The introduction of commerical space along King should be the biggest gain. Injecting some much needed street animation in a section of King that has always been a dead zone.
