November 18 Afternoon. Installation of the cladding / glazing units along the ground floor of the building's entire King Street facade is now complete. The centre section of the King Street frontage consists of heritage structure facades that were retained in place, so will only need new glass in the existing building window openings.

Installation of the cladding is proceeding along the east wall of the opening to the courtyard. Once installation wraps around the courtyard all that will be left to be done for the ground floor will be the south east section of the courtyard wall, including the wrap around the back to where the heritage building has been retained. Then we should see installation activities starting on the Second Floor.

I didn't go to the presentations they held when they had the sample walls up but are the corners supposed to be sort of unfinished and exposed? Are they going to add an additional piece?

August 2026 seems reasonable at this point.
We shall see. I would be surprised if the envelope is wrapped up by the end of 2025, but that is just my opinion.
The ground has been going on for 6 weeks, I think. The floor plate for this is very large. It will likely take multiple weeks to complete each level, and there are 16 stories.
That also assumes production of the balance of the curtain wall is on track, and can keep up.

almost certainly. aside from aesthetic reasons, leaving it exposed is a massive waterproofing and air tightness issue.

November 20 - Installation of the ground floor cladding and glazing has progressed down the east side of the courtyard entrance from King Street and wrapped around to the north side of the courtyard's east section. Footings for the cladding sections are being installed on the south side of the courtyard's east section and along the return to the heritage 495 King Street West building in the south-east corner of the King Toronto project.

Footings along the south east side of the courtyard. Once this last section is finished, that should complete installation of the entire ground floor main cladding and glazing sections. (Some of the installed sections are lacking vision glass pieces, to be installed later.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the initial occupancy date, doesn't mean the building is 100% finished.
Most buildings are still being worked on while people move in during the occupancy phase.
So I think a summer 2026 date seems reasonable, unless something derails the project.

That is true, but keep in mind that none of the upper floors (i.e. L4 up) have been assembled and are ready to ship to site. That is a major potential risk to Summer 2026.

Correct. The corner is one piece not split so must be field installed. To pre-install it would require the corner curtain-wall to be a pre assembled corner frame, which would be incredibly heavy and unwieldy.

wasn't it super popular in the 80s/early 90s? I've seen tons of homes with it as well

Heritage facade on the Nobu building has them too
 
Yeah, I just picked a few that were fresh in my mind, but they really are everywhere. I think the vintage is '70s more than '80s/'90s? When I was a kid, one of my aunts and uncles had a *very* '70s styled house that had a bunch of this.
