Are government projects ever tackled with a sense of urgency?

They could have at least tried to maintain the site and continue some temporary uses for the space. This was a great venue for special events and now it's such an eyesore. It was getting broken into constantly and the interior was destroyed and used as a bike chop shop by local drifters. It's been recently boarded up and security visits the site daily. I am sure the building will crumble before anything happens here.

A. Month?! With a good crew, this shouldn't be longer than a week or two. I'm pretty sure it's slab on grade too, so no basement (I could be wrong about that though).
