New subway entrance from Tridel Hullmark Center north tower (on Sheppard Ave East just east of Yonge Street to Sheppard Stubway line eastbound platform) will open on end of November or early December, Finally! Basically, a year late since they had problem designing this TTC entrance over the northbound Yonge to eastbound Sheppard subway turning tunnel - which delayed the north tower by a year.

Too bad the Immersion Land artwork of panoramic posterized murals on mosaic tiles used on Sheppard-Yonge upper station for Sheppard stubway wasn't used in the new subway entrance - its just plain vanilla white!

Does anyone know what`s planned for the parking lot across from here directly next to the Emerald condos site...

The new sign standards are just a pilot project at the moment.

from my understanding they aren't and the TTC is slowly rolling it out across the network, the pilot project was just Bloor-Yonge.

The issue is that it takes a bit of cash to do each station and it simply doesn't have the money to redo 70 stations at once.

its often considered a complement, our subway is very well known for how clean it is.

Most people compare it to the NYC subway due to the similar styles of the two (simple stations, stainless steel similarly sized trains), and ours is way, way cleaner.
