Still not sure about the one hulking mass, but this will do wonders for the street presence along Parliament, with the right tenants - it's a lot of retail space - about 60,000 sf, and almost all of it could, conceivably go to one tenant.

Looking at the plans, that parking ramp seems extremely tight!

The third building presented at today's marathon meeting of the Design Review Panel resulted in a 5 to 1 vote to redesign over refine. The main issue for the panel is the bulk, but there's lots they like about this proposal. A report is coming.

Demolition seems to have started. I passed by this site his morning and it was fenced off, and a window was missing.

The demolishing of the newspaper building now looks to be complete. But there is a home office (called "Designwerks"?) and the used car showroom which has not been demolished? Are those supposed to come down as well?

Yes, everything on that block will come down. Not sure when though… and possibly one or both of the remaining buildings might be used as a sales pavilion?

Does anyone know if there are two towers (one south and one north) and a block resting on top of the towers? Could there possible be an empty space in between? If so, could you imagine the view you would get coming down Richmond?
