The tower will be restored in its entirety and embedded partially within the new development- and the old firehall since removed will be represented in glass fritting - from the Conservation Report:

Urban Toronto reports that the clock tower will be repositioned closer to Yonge Street later in the construction process, and then joined by a replication of the former fire hall's original facade.

More details on the ground floor revealed - including the filled in archway at the base of the tower:

The workers are filling up the holes in the masonry left by the floor joists. I wonder if they could salvage the bricks from the building at the back (which is part of the original fire hall) for the repairs?
