It will be in interesting to see if this gets off the ground since smaller towers fail to get past council for this site.

The 40s at Central Parkway fail so far getting approval that's a block north. Where the medical building is, that parking lot and the land on the corner were to be used for a retirement home of 8s and shot down. Then all 3 were to be use for a taller structure and it was shot down.

How long ago was that? It must have been long before the concept of the LRT. It would be dumb to refuse this kind proposal considering most of the land around it are fields or under used land. I can see it being rejected if it were south of the tracks but not north of the tracks. Plus, it's walking distance to the GO train, the Fairview LRT station, and even SQ1.

The buildings were before the plan LRT, except the 40s tower at Central Parkway. Mississauga is great for stand alone towers in the park and not being close to the street.

Most of the ridership on Hurontario is from the side streets and those riders will need an extra 5-10 minute walking time to get to an LRT stop. I will see an extra 7 minutes to my LRT stop and have time it a number of times and that will be 17 minutes. The so call 500 meter walking distance is a joke considering how the streets are layout to get to/from Hurontario.

Very few residental buildings on Hurontario south of the North Service Rd and North of Dundas. During the land review that had to take place before the LRT EA could out, there was talk about putting buildings in front of the condos backing onto Hurontario that would be mid-rise only. The ROW for the road north of Dundas was design for 9 lanes of traffic and was upgraded to 7 during the reconstruction over a decade ago. Traffic count had 70,000 vehicles going north of 403 daily.
 
I can't believe that field has remained undeveloped for so long. Having undeveloped fields in long-established areas is surprisingly common in Mississauga.
 
Reduced from 36 storeys to 34 storeys at 109.1m (includes mechanical penthouse) in a November 2020 resubmission. Currently at 434 units. The balconies have also been changed, making the tower appear more curvy/lumpy.
