The name comes from the Downtown Mississauga Secondary Plan which names this part of the downtown "the exchange district".

Talk to the team that made the plan as to why it's named that.

The street was named "The Exchange". The district is named after the main street of the area - which is planned to be The Exchange.

Interesting how they changed the colours on the crowns. Also interesting how they've changed the positions of the tallest building in the renderings too.

does anyone know whether Sheridan College will be an official university? I'm surprised that's not in the marketing materials

First of all, 151 City Centre tower needs to come down to allow the street on Sq One Lane connect to Burnhamthrope. The other tower needs to come down as well.

There is all kind of land to the east of this site as well north on Hurontario that can support more mix use. Some of the existing office towers on the east side of Hurontario can be replace with taller towers since they were built when the city didn't want tall towers in the first place. Took tell 2005 to break the 39s tallest building and 2018 to break the 56s tallest building. How long will it take to break the plan 81s building??

"IF" Sq One Mall was rebuilt to 1/6 of its current size on a number of floors with more space and having development on top of it, it will open that whole area for 100,000's people living, working, playing and shopping in one area. It also needs a transit hub to support 125,000-150,000 riders a day, not the current one built for 25,000 in the 90's that had 250,000 when the city was already at 400,000. Current ridership between miWay, Zum and GO is about 70,000 today

Parking standards needs to really drop below 1:1 ratio as this area will never support it in the first place.

Look forward to see this built.

The rendering shows a large approximately 6-storey building across from this development on the south side of Burnhamthorpe. Does anyone know if this is based on an actual proposal for the vacant land, or would this just be a temporary placeholder until something official gets proposed?
There are to be a number of towers on the south side of Burnhamthorpe and no 6s plan there. It's marketing material.

people do not understand how bad mississauga's transit system is. Condos will never appreciate as much as other places because of the horrible transit system in the city. Don't kid yourselves
