I think it is about time citizens of Toronto start to organize and demand architecture and design that properly represents the diverse and colourful city that you are. We live in a country filled with an abundance of natural building materials and yet these bland, spandrel saturated edifices dominate too many Toronto vistas. I notice from the comments this is a regular complaint. So then is this not the perfect forum to start such a lobby group? Is there not a mayoral election coming up soon? Should not Urban Toronto and its engaged readership push to make this an election issue? Now's your chance to try to do something about it. Just sayin'.

At what point do we call this a flop.

I appreciate the extra density, but from a planning perspective the building is a loss in office space and ground retail sqft, and architecturally, it is looking like a massive dud.

This and 365 Church are two of the most disappointing new builds in Toronto. Though visually Menkes had an excellent result with the Harbour Plaza Residences, Urban Toronto contributors should not put their guards down with this developer. Signature projects like Sugar Wharf which will help redefine Toronto's lakefront vista, need to be held to the highest standards not only by planners but by all those who love this great city.
