Earlier today, on a sunny day in January. These were taken during a stroll along the boardwalk and cycle and foot path west of Mimico Creek in the direction of old Mimico. They were shot with a cellphone, unfortunately. The wide angle lens makes the downtown skyline seem smaller and more distant.

Beautiful shots, this is turning out quite well, that last couple pictures really captures the scale up close. That over hang / podium part really looks sharp!

The scale of potential on the Mr. Christie site to transform this area's skyline and also transform it into a more urban space at street level is really significant. I'm excited to see what will be proposed and hope it's good.

They hired a top urban design firm in the UK to master plan the site.

So fingers crossed.

Driving eastbound along the Gardiner at 4:30 p.m. yesterday this thing looked dope and it distracted from some older, less thrilling buildings in the area. Really caps things off well.

If a person hadn't visited (or read the Wikipedia article about) Toronto before, I wouldn't blame them for thinking that this was the downtown skyline.
