As it happens, I have written on this matter of impaired views in the threads on both E Condos and Theatre Park. I think the experience of residents is more important than the preferences of those who view from a distance, even if I fall into the latter category. (The photos of Eau du Soleil I regularly inflict on the very patient members of this board are taken from my windows.)

All else being equal, I myself would not purchase a unit with a swathe of decorative cladding running across a window or my balcony. If others would choose differently, fine.

I happen to be an owner of a unit and when I purchased I was shown on the model of the building where the unit was so i could get an understanding of what view I was purchasing. As long as the purchaser went to the sales office they should have known if their view would be obstructed by cladding.

Glad to hear that about the developers. As I say, the view makes a difference to me. It would be appalling not to know in advance whether or not the view was partially blocked. Enjoy your new home!

I don't understand this emphasis at all. The renderings of this building always included those accent stripes, and they were present on the model. The developers have always been upfront about what they're building here. If a purchaser did not know that they were going to have one of those stripes impeding part of their view, then it's their fault, not the developers, the evidence was there. If you're going to make one of the largest purchases of your life and not thoroughly check out and understand what you're buying, then you are an incompetent purchaser.

The crane has been dismantled on the Sky Tower, the taller of the two structures. The crane is still present in the photo in #1251 which was taken on Monday.

Combined with the parabolic arcs of the rooflines, the strips on the exterior will be wired in a way that residents will be able to put away the tinfoil hats they use to deflect intrusive governmental radiowaves that control our brains.
