Stupid question but why did they build the south facing 'overhang' in concrete with exception of the southwest corner, which they then immediately filled in that notch with steel? Thx.

I was in the area, rooftop was VERY* busy with 4 people, most I've ever seen in fact (Not joking, its pretty empty a lot of the time, except this year it will be busier....for sure). They more or less looked at me take this update:

Still busy as far as I know.

It is still very accessible. There are lots of new condos in the area and not a lot of pubs!

The businesses suffering the most in the neighbourhood are probably the Second Cup, the McDonalds (though they got Head Office to bail them out), and the INA (with Tim Hortons inside)
