I wonder how these two towers were able to get away with no real podium setbacks?

I do like the intensity it brings to that corner though,
 
The finished bits suggest to me that the building is forever going to look still under construction, like it couldn't possibly have been planned that way, could it? Or that the top half was snapped on backwards when they assembled the blocks.

Grid turned out to be better than average. Maybe it's the lack of balconies, maybe the pattern, maybe because it's sleeker, without a bulky and mismatched podium. I live in the area and I like it. But DSG just looks sloppy, overbearing and cheap
