Toronto Cumberland at Yorkville Plaza | 124.96m | 40s | Camrost-Felcorp | WZMH

Yorkville, IMO, is just expensive for its own sake. There's very little quality to the neighbourhood beyond a few select streets; it's just expensive because rich people want to say they live in Yorkville. King West I can understand, it's at least historic and beautiful. This part of town? Not so much, and it doesn't seem like it's moving that way either. I should clarify, I think Bloor is coming along nicely, just not the parallel streets to the north.

Money can't buy good taste.

Yup, more grey garbage for Toronto. The lack of creativity blows my mind.

"If it sells for a premium no matter what design we use, why wouldn't we make it as cheap and profitable as possible?" - This and many other developers.

This is "good enough for Mississauga" cladding (no offence to my friends in Mississauga).

I'm gonna stick up for 365: to my mind, its crown is in no way threatened by this building. 365 is in a class of its own (uh, with Campus One and a couple others). Way more cladding has to arrive here still, and I just can't see this one being any worse than just a 'meh'.

It's hard for me not to lump this one in with the desecration of the old Four Seasons, which is especially evident in that last photo.
