Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Just curious does anybody know whether the stations have a digital screen informing passengers of when the next lrt is coming? I haven't seen any at the crosstown stations as of yet.

Also may just be rumour but heard the official tentative opening of the crosstown lrt is September 2023... Anyone else heard this or whether they have any updates on when completion will be?

This looks to be the idea for the next train arrival screens.

Well this is disappointing. Thought it was going to be the full video. At least more should've been shown considering this is The Crosstown's most important milestone.

Well, that's the difference between the PR view and our more technoenthusiastic view. :) The average citizen will be awed, whereas we are going away hungry for much more.

I have been wondering how they have been doing any meaningful testing or equipment burn-in considering that the construction work hasn't finished.

Even as good publicity - the property is still in the hands of the constructor, and while the contract will require them to cooperate with ML's publicity efforts, ML may not have final say. The contractor may not want video of work in progress reaching the public yet... possibly to protect IP but more likely because it still looks just messy and might invite the wrong kind of reaction.

I would bet that the only testing so far is what's absolutely needed to begin verifying the construction against design, and some quick publicity photography. It's an excruciating wait, but it's progress.
