To be fair, ‘fine living’ doesn’t have to include stunning architecture. And they do offer heated balconies, which I guess count as making Canadian living finer
This is the biggest problem with Canada right now. The expectation is that everyone should be able to afford a house. I grew up in a small town house with two sisters that shared a bedroom. There were 5 of us in that tiny townhouse with only one bathroom. I had friends that lived in even tighter situations. Now having two siblings sharing a bedroom is practically unheard of. It's one of the reasons we have a "housing crisis". Everyone needs to have a detached house with a bedroom for each child with 3 bathrooms. Only the well off had that when I was growing up.
