^Is that your phone or the panels?
Oh, that was the panels- by the time I was posting and looking at the picture I was disappointed that the reflection on the south wasn’t coming out enough. Cuz against the dark clouds, it was like a beacon, and the south didn’t even have a lot of direct sun at that point in the afternoon.

Interesting. It still reads as grey, but I suppose this is a project where seeing it in different lighting conditions really matters.
Yes, the light conditions DO change this building and, as immediately above, it can look 'acceptable, but it really is a great grey lump with some rather unpleasant pink parts like a rash. It is quite a prominent 'terminus view' looking east along Front Street and it is really not NEARLY as good as it should have been with a little more effort. The tower part at Cherry and Mill is vastly better than the lower rise slabs.

The salmon brick precast looks good. It's better than most brick cladding in the city and way better than spandrel/flimsy aluminum panels.

edit: brain fart, obviously it's precast, not brick.

Yeah, I don't get the complaints. This is really good! What's not to love — it's got interesting materials, an unusual form, texture at street level, and some actual colour. Maybe the pink precast is a bit dusty, but give it a quick power wash and it'll shine. We asked for buildings that aren't grey and we got one. Take the win!
