Interesting location. It is a great location that could support more intensification.

Bleh another ugly box.

judging from the black line drawings ... I don't mind the design of this proposal, its a modern glass tower that is 'more than a box', which is complimentary to DIA condos to the south with respect to geometry, design, and height ~ PLUS it helps to complete the west ring road (Beecroft Road extension)

I certainly like this a whole lot more than The Centrium proposal also nearby ~

The tower is sort of a Hullmark clone with a touch of terra cotta-ish cladding like DIA, which isn't surprising given it's the same architect as Hullmark and across the street from DIA.

Beecroft is a fully independent project that is scheduled to be completed before Celsius ever breaks ground...the city spent about $2 million buying the last two houses in Beecroft's path. rather than wait for any of a dozen upcoming projects to Section 37 the houses away.

I hope they start construction of Beecroft soon. i heard rumours of a fall start as all the homes have been bought and will be demolished soon.

All the homes on the cite are borded up and ready to come down. On another note the homes where the Beecroft extension will go, have started coming down .

It's like you were posting from six weeks in the future...

Actually, people were still living on the Celsius site as recently as this past weekend, even though most of the houses are boarded up. ShiuPong wanted to get them demolished this year but that may not happen. Their requests may not have crawled their way through City Hall's bureaucratic Habitrail in time.

Beecroft's design is not 100% finalized (the linear parkettes, anyway) and although they finally did start tearing down the remaining houses in its path last week, some still stand. They're still sticking to their 2011 scheduled opening, though. December 31, 2011?
