Toronto Bijou on Bloor | 42.1m | 12s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

This morning the site was enveloped in fog:

As has been described in this thread before, there are two ground levels at this site: one at Bloor Street, but due to the slope of the site, it is a floor or so lower at the back near the parking lot.

Over the past while, but becoming increasingly apparent, the upper level of the site has been getting removed starting from the northwest corner, and moving east and south, shrinking the platform of fill at the Bloor Street height, upon which the active shoring equipment remains at the east end of the site.

This description is just to help contextualize the photos of the site taken today:

I realized it had been a long time since I took some shots of the entire site from across the street. Probably because there is not much change visible from there right now, but since these will probably become standard shots once this comes above grade, I figured I ought not to forget to take them once in a while to assist with later comparisons.

Taken this morning:

And just a couple from closer in:

No new renderings are updated in the database! The project information also changed. The total unit count decreased from 195 units to 186 units. The total parking space count increased from 256 to 266 parking spaces. Finally, the overall building height changed from 48.46m to 42.10m.

I'm a bit of a shy photographer - I don't mind poking through barriers and over walls if no one is looking, but when workers are plentiful, I find it awkward. Well, there were a number of workers either on break or surrounding the site for some other reason this morning, and so I took my pics quicker and somewhat surreptitiously. Without focusing as much as I ordinarily would on the framing, I was surprised in looking over them later that I actually think I got some good ones.

Excavation of the full site to the lower ground level is almost complete. Taken today:
