A.k.a. turning urban areas into suburban space. Pretty tired of these things popping up everywhere downtown. Hopefully downtown's Toronto's appetite for shitty suburb fare wanes pretty quickly and a bunch of these guys lose their shirts (this is not to mention all the new condo retail space they've moved into recently. ie. Alter, Mercer):

The podium is not white (other than the soffit) and was never intended to be. Not sure how it clashes with the tower when the entire point is that it exists in contrast to it, in its expression and program.

I'll give you that yes, the white panels on the tower aren't so great.
 
Just disappointing all over. By far aA's worst, and I don't think it's their fault. The monstrosity north of this really makes this duo look like marge's sisters.

The podium white is very similar and not different enough from the tower white, one is warm and the other is cold. To me it clashes, but to each his/her own.

Fair debate, but not sure how much will ultimately turn on the shade of podium cladding. All people will really take in from street level is garish cartoon orange and the smell of chip fat.
