Toronto 95 St Joseph | 134.7m | 40s | Daniels | Core Architects

Actual date, Feb 7th, 2026. Status: not started.

I reviewed the permits.

Most have no activity since February '25; the most recent activity is June '25; no permits are yet issued.

Last new Docs in the SPA are January '25; NOAC was issued in February '25

All the mature trees in the two Ernest Cormier courtyards of this Heritage 'Protected' site have now been felled. Not only does this reduce the green canopy in this unique neighbourhood, but it is an ominous sign that despite strong local opposition and an adverse market, the developer intends to commence building this much-criticized development in the near future. No Site Plan has been communicated so far however.

They have NOAC and permits. What are you talking about?

The Site Plan Control Agreement, which would I understand requires consultation with neighbouring buildings. The developer plans to reach out to representatives from the surrounding community in advance of demolition to confirm the start date and strike a Construction Liaison Committee - this has not occurred as yet.
