Articulate the ground floor with some textured materials to breakup the retail and change the colour of the outside massing volumes to break it up. This will add some more rhythm to it.

Not sure on zoning Heights but that would some some good constructive feedback for them to start with.
 
Not bad. However, the central part at the top looks too wedding cake-ily busy for me. Would have preferred clean lines all across with streamline moderne style rounded corners.

Not bad at all, much better than the garbage townhouse development that's located right next to this. The retail leveel needs to be re-thought though, it looks really in-distinctive.
 
Yikes this one is bad. Looks like a building trying to look like it's shaped by something other than zoning envelopes / setback regulations and failing at it.
 
Wow ! A solid looking structure with rounded corner balconies that not all glass! As seen in the photos above Nice !
