Seems weird they developed on this parcel of land before they developed across the street, it is where all of the other mid rises are and it seems pretty close to the pretty size for another mid rise apartment building.

Can't develop land you don't own!

I'm not sure who owns the land across the street, but they did submit a development inquiry about a potential 20-storey building to the City in 2022:

Yeah, I wasn't really referring to this developer and why they didn't develop across the street, just in general, that the plot of land across the street, where it would be a perfect continuation of mid rise apartments never gets developed, instead of this buildings location, 10 years ago this would be the last place I would have thought gotten a mid rise building, at least in this area. It feels close to the creek and the optimism club plus with that existing building, just never expected it to be developed.
