This is what the kids my age call a "crashout".

Not only was there ample opportunity for you to voice your concerns about this project, but so far every complaint you have voiced here has been addressed or countered, only for you to pivot to the next one with a "who cares" or "it doesn't matter". This is affordable housing being built on land near transit that was being used suboptimally, there was a lengthy consultation process, and now the project is moving forward. You can't seriously claim this is being "forced through" when it's been seven years since the first meetings, like you claim.

Edit: Looks like he deleted his four consecutive posts immediately before my message. That'll show me. Just remember that if someone does a "laughing" react to a message where you were being serious, 3 times out of 4 it means they're mad.

I don't really care what they want to call them we don't need more of them.

Yes, we do.

Even if we dropped immigration to zero on a sustained basis, and the population dropped a bit, we simply don't have an adequate ratio of rental units or ownership units relative to the population.

If what you mean below is that we need more single family homes, you can take that position; but, they aren't going in Toronto. Where are you building them?

I suppose we could repurpose the TTC lot for houses, but you would only fit a dozen or so because of the awkward shape and the need for an internal road.

What we need is affordable homes that aren't having their prices jacked up by independent relitors who are just in it for commission until they can retire early

How do you think the housing market works exactly? Never in history has the norm been to put up houses or apartments or condos as an act of charity.

Developers seek to make money, profit, on each build, they in turn sell to end users or brokers, who again seek to do the same.

Certainly there have been far more 'middle men' in the condo market in Toronto that was historically normative, and that contributed to bad unit design by builders...........

I have no difficulty restricting this, and have advocated for same.

But so we're clear, these are rentals and will not have any 'middle man' involvement.

and don't give a crap who they sell too.

There is no selling here, this is RENTAL.

Create To can drop this project and nobody will care st all.

Absolutely not true, in fact, absurd.

@EastYorkTTCFan

Perhaps instead of laughing, you could defend yourself against near universal condemnation for arguments that make no sense.

Just a thought.
This project is a joke it's a tiny piece of land I'm not convinced at all that it's necessary but people on here seem to want to defend create To so I'll respect their opinions by saying nothing more because my opinions are deemed to be wrong. This will be my last response and if you want me to respond again I'll delete this one and say nothing else.

Popped in to see how this site was doing............kind of pokey start.......lots of equipment, lots of supplies.......one hole dug in one corner.......that's most of it so far.

Back in June we had the Ground Breaking Photo-Op here.

Apparently everyone loved it so much, we had to do it all over again for the Start of Major Construction:
