Great looking building, but because of the location I half hope that the slow down we're witnessing kills it.
To those at the meeting: Was there any rational given why the tower is on the far east side of the site?
To limit the visual impact of the tower on the (south) view terminus on St. Thomas Street. They want to maintain 77 Charles to be the focal point.

Moving it westward will impact 77 Charles significantly, as it is already closest to that building, and would only become closer to more of it.

Wow, that actually looks awesome
lets just hope it gets off the ground......a rental i guess, so chances are good
While I think the proposed building looks "nice", one can't help but wonder if the whole matter of "shifting the bulk" is being used as a Trojan Horse. The original proposal in 2010 suggests a residential GFA of 9600 M2 - the current one doubles it to 17965 M2. Has the program changed so much that it necessitates such increase in density to justify the cost? I do have to wonder.

Good point. I would imagine this change in the project will result in more $ for the sisters... I don't think the "programs" and "services" they provide are that costly, so where will the money go?While I think the proposed building looks "nice", one can't help but wonder if the whole matter of "shifting the bulk" is being used as a Trojan Horse.
