Saw this go by on Twitter earlier today:

Together with @CarlyleDevelop, Slate has submitted a proposal to revitalize 685 Lake Shore Boulevard East, an underutilized 0.99-hectare site in the Port Lands area of the City of Toronto. We are so excited for the opportunity to create this iconic, mixed-use development!

Pulling the renders into the thread:

This is the former Greyhound property at Lake Shore and Saulter:

I may have been off by one or two with the number of storeys, just estimating from the render.

Interesting! Slate has a few iconic architectural projects in various states of progress, so that gives some some measure of faith this might be real.

The Flexities made me laugh...............judging by the render, these are presumed to be running in what is now the Saulter Street ROW, and will be the Broadview extension.

So, it''ll be a while yet..............

****

Edit to add, @smably is obviously one of the only people following Slate on Twitter..............that tweet has 4 likes!

Nice catch, I forgot about the Broadview Extension. Looks like it's going to slice a big wedge off the east side of this property:

I don't see this as overly premature. I believe the Broadview Extension is supposed to start construction next year, and this will tie nicely into East Harbour. It's also likely several years at best from construction, yet alone completion.

Also, This appears to be BDPQ, similar to Slate & Carlyle's last joint venture at Main and Danforth. Could be wrong on that one though.

Application for this one is filed in the AIC:

The other renders have already been posted, though they are slightly higher quality.
