Toronto Sixty Five Broadway | 132.89m | 39s | Times Group | Wallman Architects

One tower with rentals sounds nice to replace what would be torn down, but no way would the units will be very sizable compared to whats currently there. Won't be suprised for a redesign of the proposed buildings.

The City typically requires that rental replacement units are of the same approximate size as the rental suites that they're replacing. (There's often minimum square footages written into the agreement between the City and the developer.)

Oooooh, mybad. Never heard about that. Anyways, this twin tower project sounds great for the area! Would be amzing if the rental building would be given to TCHC, as affordable housing, although thats up to the management of course.

The notice was put up a few days ago, I just got around to posting this today though!

A pre-hearing conference to amend the site's zoning restrictions has been scheduled for the 20th of January at the OMB. The site is currently zoned for a maximum height of 38m (10-11 stories), and they're asking permission to build two 155.53m towers of 45 stories.

Please be advised that a Notice of Prehearing Conference regarding 55-65 Broadway Av. development has been scheduled as follows:

On: Friday January 20, 2017
at: 10:00 am
at: Ontario Municipal Board
655 Bay Street,
16th Floor
Toronto, On, M4G 1E5

These buildings have been added to The 120m List. Somehow they were missed.
No apology necessary, especially as you're reviving a "lost list": it's tough keeping track of everything! We're attempting to improve our own cataloguing of development proposals in this city as we embark on another year of Growth To Watch For stories. The amount of information you have to corral for those stories is growing every year, and we're learning how difficult it is to stay on top of it all, especially for proposals where the developer .
