Toronto 400 King West | 157.37m | 48s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

The juice store at the western edge of the property (King/Charlotte) has a sign stating they are moving to Spadina Ave
Not sure if that is indicative of any sort of demolition happening anytime soon.

It may, as MEC will presumably be moving relatively soon as well. This isn't going to get started at least until they move into their new location on Queen St.

Looks like the entire footprint will be vacant after April 2nd (both the Travel Agency and The Detox Market are gone with MEC leaving April 2nd).

Seems like it won't be long before everything is demolished to make way for this new development.

After MEC and the other retail outlets left the building in April, the below grade commercial parking garage remained open. Until today. While there was no visible signage to indicate whether this was a temporary or permanent closure, under the circumstances, suspect it may be permanent. Otherwise would expect to see something along the lines of 'Closed Temporarily - Please Come Back Tomorrow'... No record of an application for a Demolition Permit for 400 King Street West on the City's permit application status web site though..

There is a new sporting goods store where the travel agency used to be. The other retail units that used to be here - MEC to the east, and the Detox market to the west - are still empty, and the parking garage is still closed. The person at the sales counter for the store indicated that this was not a temporary pop up - that they have a two year lease.

Can't wait to see this building go up! Love the windows they have that narrow rectangle look like the old World Trade Center in New York.

Clarification - correction - on the initial comments regarding the photo in post # 55, above - that is the loading dock, not the parking garage door. The parking garage is still open, just cannot be seen from the King Street sidewalk, as the vehicle entrance is recessed from the Charlotte Street sidewalk.
