Proposal to replace old office building near the former hospital site with infill residential.
This is an old application, seems to have stalled due to objections to the proposed rezoning.

Opposition to this proposal is baloney. Certain interests annoyed that their favoured idea for an ‘arts’ building fell through, and a lot of establishment wanting the status quo of single family period pieces, but circa the past 20 years. Build it. At first glance it looks like a worthy intensification of the former multi story medical arts building and parking lot. This is an area undergoing change; across the street from the former OTA hospital site, up the street from what remains of the high school, the new rec centre and the developments on Sheldon (Covered in this forum). Large portions of this area of Oakville have been rebuilt in the past 20 years, one Committee of Adjustment variance proposal after another, i chuckled over the density creep comment.

That site is pretty sad right now. Clearly there was some sort of failed ambition to remodel the existing building.
