Great to see Freed still doing these high-design smaller sites. Perhaps not as lucrative for his firm, but great for the city. Also not sure Freed has the manpower (is one still allowed to use this term??ha) or financial strength to execute on the larger multi-phase Master planned developments.

It's just a background building with a rendering promising higher end glass. Once the glass fades with time, there won't be much merit to the design. Make no mistake, buildings that incorporate higher-end materials make the city a more beautiful place. However, this building's exterior will be largely meaningless from an design standpoint.
 
I thought this was the spot I'm seeing that crane from down my neck of The Annex.
 
Thanks for posting! I try and visit every couple of weeks. What are your thoughts about the timeline of the finished product?
