Too bad UT cheaped out and didn't put a wide angle Bloor/Yorkville time lapse camera in the right place place during this rather amazing transformation (joking Ed and my credit cards are maxed srry). Would love to see early 1 Bloor East through all the others underway all the way to at least 1 Bloor struggling to climb above grade lol.

Oh wait, I can call Koops and see a sketch... or maybe he's sick of my calls, wouldn't blame him. Did buy him a beer or two.

Minor Variance has been approved by the Committee of Adjustment:

To alter the mixed-use redevelopment scheme consisting of two buildings on a shared podium approved under Site Specific By-laws 1049-2015 and 1050-2015 by removing one level of residential parking in the above grade parking garage and reducing the mechanical penthouse in the north building in order to accommodate two additional residential floors. The buildings will be 44- and 68-storeys. The maximum permitted overall height for the north building (including the mechanical penthouse) will be maintained as 215.0 m.

Yorkville chaos - even partial view obstruction of the Four Seasons from the south will be sad. Everyone hates boxes but the 4 Seasons is pretty much as good as it gets in today's box market. Hope this project (a step or so east) won't do that. Bye bye lovely firehouse... least you can annoy them with sirens.
