Just a little bit ironic maybe that the Wine Rack store near Bloor & Bathurst closed down, but yet the one here @ 328 Bloor remains?
Why not just keep the other one open and close this one?

All the Wine Racks are closing; pretty much all of 'em.

They will be opening new ones inside Farm Boy locations and perhaps some additional grocers.

I wouldn't rule out them keeping the flagship on Queen's Quay......but I'm told they're all gone, as their leases expire, the majority in the next year.

A lady working at the Dundas & Yonge location said something very similar, (as that location was closing)
except more to the degree of select locations not closing.
I guess what you're saying is what she either meant to say, or finally realized.

As for the 328 Bloor location, the sooner the lease ends, the sooner the building will be freed up for demolishment, I guess.
I have no idea where Republic of Hair is going to go, or that spa place,
both upstairs...and whatever else is left... ScotiaBank recently opened a new location @ Dupont & Howland (not far from Bathurst & Dupont)
There seems to be no plan to relocate the Spadina & Bloor location...seems like the plan is to just shut it down and move all the clients there to the Dupont location.
Unless any other info is available?

In the east end Shoppers World and Pape/Danforth have closed, Dundas/Yonge is closed, the one on Bloor, two on Queen West and a few more.

I have a pretty clear understanding of the next few closings as well; but as staff have not been notified, I think it would be bad form if put that out here.

The Wine Rack here has strangely fared despite everything else closing shop/moving out on that strip...

...I am presuming it's dormant.

They kicked everybody out. Surely there is plan for demolition soon?
Nobody was kicked out. As I said, folks left here on their own volition as they thought the development here was imminent before the condo market kicked the bucket. Hence, this is why this strip is a ghost town currently...

...I suspect if the economy ever picks up again, the owners would likely rethink this proposal before ever doing something about it. Until such time presume this project is dead, Jim.

Is this due to VQA now being offered in grocery and convenience stores?

Nobody was kicked out.
So does this mean that the Metro across the street is not closing any time soon?
There were plans to tear down the Metro building and make changes there, all while moving the
Metro across the street to where the Scotiabank is currently, but only after the new condo (@328) is built.
(*or possibly replace the Metro with a Basics in it's new location)

The new Metro was not going into the corner w/the Scotia Bank.

Its going in 350 Bloor West on the n/w corner.
