Thank you ProjectEnd for the information. I grew up in that building. It was a second home...Our main home was 476 (1959-1963...torn down to build the subwaay and 478 Huron Street (the Pidgeon House...now office space) I guess all things must change. But the first proposal for the church in 2011 or 12 was HORRIBLE in my opinion.KPMB now. There's a community meeting on September 27th at 7pm.
Presentation here (no renders yet):
Far superior to the original proposal which metastasized over the whole site. The current box on Bloor is an affront - sadly I am not sure if this version handled it all that much better.Far better than the previous proposal. Also interesting that the 1920s-30s box in front of the church is being replaced- are they relocating the entrances again?
I hope they can retain the original portalways.
So, I'll use that as a jumping off point to share some more details communicated at the meeting:Far superior to the original proposal which metastasized over the whole site. The current box on Bloor is an affront - sadly I am not sure if this version handled it all that much better.
